When I was -35 years old, UNICEF began. When I was -30, Italy and Germany declared war on the US. When I was -7, Sam Cooke (and a lot of good music) passed away. When I was 1, Apollo 17 landed on the moon. When I was 10, Muhammad Ali lost his last fight.
Last night, we celebrated with a good dinner at an old Italian place in an older section of town. My brother called this morning.
